Boodles Tennis Served Up At The Mere
We’re delighted to be hosting the prestigious Boodles Tennis tournament for the fourth consecutive year.
Sponsored by renowned jewellers, Boodles, the three day event will begin on 15th June 2016 in a marquee on our estate, nestled beside the Mere lake.
The event has come to be known as the North West’s Garden Party of the Summer, and so as the Champagne flows, we’ll be welcoming hundreds of North West business leaders, plus a number of celebrities. We’ll be showcasing our world class hospitality, and expect to serve 600 afternoon teas, open 400 bottles of Champagne and welcome over 700 guests, including a number of elite Cheshire faces.
The event was founded by Vicky Collins of White Events, an avid tennis player with a passion for the sport and a desire to create exclusive tennis events that would be enjoyed throughout the UK. Testament to the event management and fine banqueting provided by The Mere over the past three years, White Events chose to return to the resort for yet another star-studded gathering.
It’s this high quality event service and seamless event management that has seen us scoop awards including Venue of the Year, Team of the Year and a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence.
The five star menus will be hand-crafted by Executive Head Chef, Mark Fletcher, who joined the resort team in 2015, bringing with him a wealth of experience gained leading the kitchen teams at The Savoy Grill, The Ritz and luxury London hotel, Luton Hoo.
Kevin says;
“This event has gained great esteem as being one of the most elegant garden parties in the Cheshire area. It’s fantastic to be a part of creating an event that isn’t just talked about for days, but for months afterwards. The menu will reflect the premium service, exceptional quality and stunning surroundings of the resort. It will be the perfect complement to a stylish day, for our refined guests.”
Kevin will be creating a gourmet three course lunch, and decadent afternoon tea for each day’s event.
The three day soiree will see ex-Championship tennis legends, including the highly entertaining Henri Leconte hit the court for a garden party served in true Mere style.
See you there!
